Historia

Okręg Forcalquier powstał w 1800 r. Podczas reorganizacji okręgów Alpes-de-Haute-Provence w styczniu 2017 r. Uzyskał 16 gmin z okręgu Digne-les-Bains i stracił sześć gmin na rzecz okręgu Digne. -les-Bains.
